Part Glazed Curved Office Screens
What are part-glazed office screens used for?
Part-glazed screens are manufactured with part of the partition covered with fabric and the other part is traditionally Perspex® or acrylic.
The lower, fabric-covered panel offers privacy and some soundproofing, helping to make your workspace more productive, while the upper glazed panel offers social distancing protection. It can be transparent to maintain effective communication or frosted for privacy.
In addition, the shape of these particular part-glazed office screens makes them incredibly practical. The curved radius of the screen means you can link several together to form a ‘pod’ - a cosy space that you can use to host meetings or as a private workspace. This is a helpful feature in large, open-plan offices.
What is the FRONTIER® Curved Free Standing Part-Glazed Office Partitions made from?
The upper vision panel of these screens is made from high-quality Perspex®, available in a clear or frosted finish. Perspex® is chosen as it is durable and practical as a material for screen construction, particularly for office use, as it’s easy to clean and sanitise and helps to maintain a light and airy office environment by allowing light to pass through it.
The lower panel is constructed in the same way as our FRONTIER® fabric screens. It has an internal panel construction of 2 x 2.5mm medium density fibreboard (MDF) faces that are glued (using water based adhesive) around 20mm recycled paper continuous vented honeycell beecore. A layer of fire-rated Maclfex fabric is upholstered on both sides and is available in 8 fabric colours.
The FRONTIER® Curved Free Standing Part-Glazed Office Partitions are finished with a 30mm thick full aluminium frame in silver or white.
Choose from stabilising feet or adjustable levelling feet for stability. Adjustable levelling feet can account for up to 35mm unevenness in your flooring helping to create a stable partition.
Please note, if you are linking multiple curved office screens together you do not need to use stabilising feet, the curved shape provides enough stability for the 'pod' to stand. Adjustable levelling feet are ideal for ensuring the office screens link together if the floor is uneven.
Can FRONTIER® Curved Office Partitions be linked together?
FRONTIER® office partitions are supplied with 2x PVC strips which allows you to join two screens together to create a circular meeting pod. When screens are not linked, the PVC strips are inserted into the aluminium profile for a flush finish.
What sizes of FRONTIER® Curved Free Standing Part-Glazed Office Partition are available?
You can choose between four different heights (1200mm, 1400mm, 1600mm and 1800mm) and three radius (850mm, 1200mm and 1500mm) for your part-glazed screen.
Are FRONTIER® Curved Free Standing Part-Glazed Office Partitions fire rated?
The lower fabric-covered panel is upholstered with Macflex -182 fabric that is certified to BS 476 Part 7 Class 1; BS EN 1021-1:2014 (cigarette); BSEN 13501-1 Adhered Class B,s2, d0; BS EN 13501-1 Un-adhered Class D, s1, d2. Perspex® acrylic achieves a UK Class 3 fire rating. This means FRONTIER® office screens are safe and approved for use in offices, schools, universities and other working environments.
