In a typical, modern, open-plan office, the atmosphere can be busy, bustling and distracting. Large banks of desk seat multiple employees in a space-saving design, but these areas can become noisy places full of employee chatter, which can reduce concentration and therefore productivity within the workplace. Fabric desk divider screens are very useful for creating a sense of peace and privacy on these busy working banks of desks.

However, fabric privacy desk divider screens are not only helpful in offices, they are used in schools, universities, colleges, call centres, and libraries.

Our fabric-covered desk screens are made with an internal wooden core which is then upholstered in a fire-retardant fabric (available in a variety of colours) and finished with a PVC or aluminium frame. Some of our fabric desk dividers also have a useful tool rail so you can attach monitors and other desk accessories to keep desktops clear and easy to clean.

We also supply fabric acoustic desk screens, which help to reduce noise and increase productivity within busy areas. Fabric desk divider screens in general are very useful for creating a sense of peace and privacy for busy working banks of desks, but acoustic fabric desk dividers go one step further. Their effectiveness depends on the size of the office, the number of people talking at one time versus the amount, height and thickness of the acoustic screens as well as the number of panels used. Acoustic desk screens should be placed where sound waves will bounce back will absorb a percentage of the sound waves and sound reverberation will be reduced.

Our fabric-covered acoustic desktop partitions are 35mm thick and made with an internal wooden core in chipboard, MFC or MDF which is then covered with a pinnable layer before being upholstered in a foam-backed, fire-retardant fabric.

Which Fabric Desk Screen Do I Need?

The type of screen you choose for your office will depend on what purpose you wish the partition to serve.

Our standard fabric desk divider screens are a low-cost option for installing office dividers. They are available in a variety of shapes and sizes, a range of fabric colours, and while all of our fabric desk screens are suitable for use with Velcro, you can order with the option to have pinboard material included so you can use them with pins or staples for display purposes. We also sell Speedy Desk Dividers with guaranteed delivery to your door within 6-9 working days.

Our acoustic office desk divider screens are thicker and made with sound-absorbing materials to help reduce office noise pollution. We recommend these screens for use in busy, noisy working environments such as open plan offices or call centres, where you would like to introduce a more peaceful and productive setting. Our acoustic desk screens are available in a range of fabric colours, and are suitable for use with pins or Velcro for display purposes.

I Need a Fabric Desk Screen, How Do I Measure My Desk?

To ensure you receive the correct size of desktop partition, please measure the width and depth of the top of your desk prior to ordering. The width will be the longest side and will be where your desktop attaches to along the back of the office desk. This will be the total width of the desk, normally 1400mm, 1600mm or 1800mm. The depth is how deep the desk is from the wall to where you sit. Depending on the construction of your desk, please also measure the thickness of the desktop as this will determine which clamp you will need to secure the screen to the desktop.

Please check for obstructions such as legs and supporting structures that may require a deeper clamp than just the thickness of the wood used for the desk. We supply screen clamps in a variety of sizes to fit almost any office desk. Please get in touch with us to discuss the different options if our standard size clamps are not suitable for you.

Can I Get Next-Day Dispatch On My Office Desk Screens?

Our range of in-stock Speedy Desk Screens is available with guaranteed delivery to your door within 6-9 working days (location depending).

Our other desk dividers have longer dispatch times (10-14 days approx) due to manufacturing but if you need something within a specific time frame, please speak to our team on 01234 676767 and we will do what we can to get your screen to you quickly.

How Are Fabric Desk Screens Delivered?

All of our deliveries are to ground floor only. Larger quantity orders may be delivered on a pallet – this is kerbside delivery only. Unpacking, pallet disposal and moving of screens cannot be undertaken by our drivers – all protective packaging needs to be disposed of or recycled by the recipient. Please ensure you have adequate facilities and staff in place to accept partition screen deliveries.

The exception to this is where Glazed or Partially Glazed Meeting Pods have been ordered. In this case, we recommend utilising our expert installation teams to uphold the product guarantee (additional cost).
