Curved Partitions

Office screens are incredibly useful in open-plan workspaces to divide up areas for different purposes. However, they are also suitable for schools, universities, colleges, reception areas, call centres, libraries, hospitals and many other places.

Choosing the right office screens for your workplace can create bespoke meeting spaces, aid concentration and even protect sickness from spreading amongst co-workers. While the standard ranges of office screens are available in straight shapes, desk dividers, concertina folding screens and even bespoke sizes, curved office screens give you plenty of flexibility to create all kinds of different layouts in your office or other work environments.

We sell two kinds of curved office screen; acoustic fabric partitions and Perspex® acrylic curved screens.

Our Perspex® acrylic curved screens are available in either floor-standing designs or as a curved desk screen (suitable for curved reception desks or retail counters). Crafted from 5mm-thick, clear acrylic panels, these screens have aluminium frames for a durable and strong support and are ideal for implementing social distancing measures in your workplace. COVID-19 has changed the way many of us work and will continue to do so, so investing in wipe-clean, hygienic screens that can be easily sanitised is an excellent idea.

Our acoustic fabric curved partition is one of the most efficient noise control acoustic screens available. At 80mm thick, the construction of this screen means sound is absorbed by the fabric-covered panels to help create a calm work environment that aids in concentration and productivity. The curved fabric panels are available in a variety of bright colours to suit office decor.

Our floor-standing curved office screens can be used as standalone dividers, offering smooth lines and a more organic shape. Or, using the linking strips provided, you can connect them to form office meeting pods which can seat a small table and any number of chairs, depending on how many curved screens you choose to connect. In this way, you can set up individual meeting spaces within a larger, open-plan office or retail showroom.

If our standard curved screen sizes aren’t suitable for your needs, our manufacturing capabilities allow us to create any bespoke screen. Different shapes, heights, widths can be manufactured. All you need to do is give us a brief on what your layout is and what you are trying to achieve and we can design a solution for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

The style and shape of screen that you choose entirely depends on your location, the space you need to divide, and what roles you need the screen to perform.

Curved screens are useful for segmenting up areas around circular tables or desks, such as in meeting rooms, dining rooms, or for enclosing a small meeting space within a larger room, such as an open-plan office or retail showroom.

We sell curved office screens in a range of sizes and materials.

Our freestanding floor curved screens are available as either glazed panels or acoustic fabric panels.

The curved acoustic screen is 80mm thick with a central carcass construction to allow acoustic sound absorption to take place. Each side has an additional thick acoustic layer and foam-backed woven fabric. This luxury fabric is of commercial grade making it long lasting and durable. There are 12 fabric colours to choose from. The screen is surrounded by an aluminium frame which is available in white or silver.

The glazed curved panel is made from 5mm-thick Italian Greencast acrylic available in three colours; clear, frosted and polar white. This glass screen divider partition is surrounded by an aluminium frame and also has a mid-rail for stability, approximately 720mm from the base of the screen. The frame is available in a silver or white finish.

We also sell a range of curved counter top screens designed for social distancing. These are made from Perspex® acrylic or glass.

Sound-absorbing walls and acoustic partitions are designed to help reduce noise pollution in offices or busy locations by preventing the sound from reverberating around the room.

Their effectiveness depends on the size of the office, the number of people talking or on the phone at one time versus the amount, height and thickness of the acoustic screens as well as the number of panels used.

Howand where you use your acoustic dividers is crucial; sound-absorbing screens and panelling should be placed where sound waves will bounce back. The panels and screening will absorb a percentage of the sound waves and sound reverberation will be reduced.

A combination of desk partitions, freestanding acoustic screens, panelling and ceiling mounted baffles will have the greatest effect. For advice and solutions on reducing your workplace noise, please get in touch with our team.

The type of material you choose for your office divider screen will depend on what purpose you wish the partition to serve.

Our standard fabric screens are a low-cost option for installing office dividers. They are available in freestanding, mobile and desk divider styles in a variety of sizes, a range of fabric colours, and while all of our fabric screens are suitable for use with Velcro, you can order with the option to have pinboard material included so you can use them with pins or staples for display purposes.

Our acoustic office screens are thicker and made with sound-absorbing materials to help reduce office noise pollution. We recommend these screens for use in busy, noisy working environments such as open plan offices or call centres, where you would like to introduce a more peaceful and productive setting. Our acoustic screens are available as freestanding, mobile, desk divider or curved panels (our curved panels can be purchased as kits to form s-shaped walls and meeting pods), a range of fabric colours, and are suitable for use with pins or Velcro for display purposes.

Our Perspex® acrylic and glass office dividers are recommended where social distancing measures are required. These materials are easy to keep clean and sanitise, meaning they help to maintain a safe and healthy working environment when wiped down regularly. Developed specifically to help businesses cope with the rise of COVID-19 in the workplace, these office dividers are available in a wide range of different shapes and sizes to suit offices, schools, retail outlets, receptions, medical facilities, care homes, hospitality venues and many more locations.

Coronavirus is transferred from person-to-person through tiny droplets expelled from the nose or mouth when someone sneezes, coughs or even breathes. These droplets can be transferred directly from one person to another if someone is standing very close, or they can land on surfaces which are then touched by someone else, and the virus is transmitted that way.

Social distancing screens are useful both in public environments and customer-facing businesses as well as offices and other workspaces. A smooth, Perspex®, acrylic or glass panel acts as a barrier to Coronavirus droplets in the air, allowing two people to interact more safely with a social distancing partition between them.

It’s important to remember that wiping down these panels with sanitiser or bleach products regularly is essential to provide maximum protection against germs and viruses.

Our smallest meeting pods are made up of a kit which comprises 3 curved office screens. This fits a small table and two chairs comfortably. For larger meeting pod spaces, choose a kit with more curved screens, or purchase more screens individually to create a meeting pod of any size you desire.
