Acoustic Screens

Open plan offices and busy call centres can be very noisy, chaotic environments that aren’t always conducive to productivity and concentration. Acoustic office screens are ideal for combatting noise pollution. The majority of distractions derive from noise, so by investing in a range of acoustic office screens, you can reduce noise and increase productivity within your business.

Acoustic screens are specially designed for use in busy, noisy environments such as offices, call-centres, schools, libraries and colleges.

Our 35mm-thick acoustic screens, desk dividers and panels are made with an internal wooden core in chipboard, MFC or MDF which is then covered with a pinnable layer before being upholstered in a foam-backed, fire-retardant fabric (available in a choice of vibrant colours to suit your branding or office décor). The acoustic partitions are then finished or framed with either a PVC or aluminium edging strips or framework to aid aesthetical appearance, rigidity or for linking capabilities.

Our extensive collection includes a variety of freestanding acoustic screens (with or without lockable castor wheels) which can be easily moved into place to create break rooms, meeting spaces or team areas within an open plan office. Also available is a range of acoustic desk divider screens, which are very useful for creating a sense of peace and privacy for busy working banks of desks. Some of our acoustic desk dividers also have a useful tool rail so you can attach monitors to keep desktops clear and easy to clean

Acoustic screens in different shapes and sizes have many different functions; from dividing up an open-plan space into smaller work areas or ensuring privacy and a quiet work environment by partitioning up banks of desks. Most modern offices are open plan; the lack of internal walls mean that these work environments can become very noisy, distracting places. Choosing acoustic office screens for your workplace can reduce noise pollution, create bespoke meeting spaces and aid concentration.

Our range of acoustic screens includes many 'off the shelf' sizes, however, our manufacturing capabilities allow us to create any bespoke screen depending on what your needs might be. Different shapes, heights, widths can be manufactured. All you need to do is give us a brief on what your layout is and what you are trying to achieve and we can design a solution for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our acoustic office screens and partitions are either 35mm or 80mm thick and made with an internal wooden core in chipboard, MFC or MDF (wood formed from wood chips, bonded into a particleboard, impregnated with paper and sometimes a resin).

The wooden screen core is covered with an acoustic layer before being upholstered in a foam-backed, fire-retardant fabric.

The acoustic panels are then finished or framed with either a PVC edging or aluminium frame. Stabilising feet, castor wheels, linking sections or desk clamps are made from pressed steel that is powder-coated for durability.

We sell acoustic screens in a range of shapes and sizes to suit your needs.
Our Standard Acoustic range is available in straight or wave-shaped office screens with a wide selection of sizes and colours. The Standard Acoustic range also includes acoustic desk screens. Use on their own or combine straight, wave and radius desktop dividers to design a desktop formation to suit your workplace.

Our Premium Acoustic range includes our best quality office screens designed wholly with noise reduction in mind. Excellent acoustic qualities result from the design, construction and materials used.

As well as individual screens and desk dividers, our range of acoustic screens also includes meeting pods and s-shaped walls to create meeting space solutions in busy, open-plan spaces.

If you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for in our standard sizes, please contact us for details of our bespoke service.

Yes, our acoustic partitions utilisePVC or aluminium frame edging that is used for linking multiple screens together, either in a straight line or at a 90-degree angle. We include linking strips with each office partition so you can choose to link them, or not.

Sound-absorbing walls and acoustic partitions do work; their effectiveness depends on the size of the office, the number of people talking or on the phone at one time versus the amount, height and thickness of the acoustic screens as well as the number of panels used.

How and where you use your acoustic dividers is crucial; sound-absorbing screens and panelling should be placed where sound waves will bounce back. The panels and screening will absorb a percentage of the sound waves and sound reverberation will be reduced.

A combination of desk partitions, freestanding acoustic screens, panelling and ceiling mounted baffles will have the greatest effect. For advice and solutions on reducing your workplace noise, please get in touch with our team.

To ensure you receive the correct size of desktop partition, please measure the width and depth of the top of your desk prior to ordering. The width will be the longest side and will be where your desktop attaches to along the back of the office desk. This will be the total width of the desk, normally 1400mm, 1600mm or 1800mm.

The depth is how deep the desk is from the wall to where you sit. Depending on the construction of your desk, please also measure the thickness of the desktop as this will determine which clamp you will need to secure the screen to the desktop.

Please check for obstructions such as legs and supporting structures that may require a deeper clamp than just the thickness of the wood used for the desk. We supply screen clamps in a variety of sizes to fit almost any office desk.

Please contact us to discuss the different options if our standard size clamps are not suitable for you.

Our Acoustic Office Screens and partitions are supplied with either a 1, 2 or 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
