To remove smudges or smears, wipe down your glazed screen with warm, soapy water using a microfibre cloth. 

Avoid using ammonia-based products as these can damage the surface of the acrylic, eventually causing cloudiness. We also recommend NOT using paper towels or kitchen towel to wipe down your Perspex panel as they don’t do a very good job of removing any scratches and may even cause damage. Stick to soft microfibre cloths wherever possible. Did you know that the composition of microfibre cloths make them more effective in wiping away harmful bacteria and viruses?

To sanitise your acrylic screen, you can use a standard antibacterial wipe or diluted bleach solution, and then polish the surface with a microfibre cloth.

Office Dividers have long been seen as an economical way to partition an office or area into separate sections. Screens were chosen based on function, aesthetics, colour and budget; but COVID-19 has made us aware of the need for screens that are easy to keep clean and sanitised to help prevent the spread of any illness within the workplace. The choice of surface materials is important; Perspex®, glass or acrylic pods and transparent office screens are suitable as they can be wiped clean but they also allow light in, so not as claustrophobic as fabric-covered cubicles or booths. Our partitions and screens are manufactured with aluminium or PVC edgings making them non-porous and easier to maintain.

The best way to stop COVID-19 spreading from person-to-person is to reduce the opportunities the virus has to infect us. Steps you can take include maintaining a safe social distance, wearing a mask over your mouth and nose when out in public, sanitising our hands regularly (or washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, wherever possible) and using protective measures such as PPE and Perspex® screens in our offices, workplaces and public spaces.

For industries where solo work is the norm, setting up a socially distanced office is relatively simple. Investing in glazed partitions (freestanding or on wheels) means you can easily set up mini ‘cubicles’ where people can work safely. These can easily be moved around your office as required to allow frequent adaptation as the rules around social distancing change.

Group working is more complicated, but it is still possible to set up safe, socially distanced spaces for group working. Investing in a series of linked screens means you can set up cross-shape formations allowing four people to work together and collaborate while remaining behind their individual partitions. Or why not link these together inline to divide up your office space into meeting ‘rooms’ where smaller groups can work 2m apart? Hanging screens can also be useful in these situations for creating an informal ‘meeting space’ or protecting staff in kitchen or canteen areas.

Coronavirus is transferred from person-to-person through tiny droplets expelled from the nose or mouth when someone sneezes, coughs or even breathes. These droplets can be transferred directly from one person to another if someone is standing very close, or they can land on surfaces that are then touched by someone else, and the virus is transmitted that way.
