Perspex® Screens For Offices

Transparent Perspex® office screens are designed to divide up open plan offices into segregated spaces for a smaller group of people while maintaining excellent communication avenues and fostering a light and bright work environment by allowing natural light to pass through the office space.

Our Perspex® office screens are available in a variety of styles, including freestanding Perspex® screens, desk mounted Perspex® partitions, frameless Perspex® desk screens, counter-top Perspex® retail desk guards, Perspex® office pods, Perspex® mobile dividing screens on wheels and many more. Quick and easy to deploy, our clear Perspex® protection screens are adaptable solutions, many of which can be moved to different locations in and around the workplace as and when the need arises.

Perspex® screens and clear glass acrylic dividers come in either frameless or aluminium-framed options, which provide wipeable, easy-to-clean surfaces. This means each screen can be easily sanitised on a regular basis for virus control and prevention of infection. We have a variety of Perspex® screens in different shapes and sizes, for use in: offices, shops, retail spaces, schools, libraries, colleges, care homes, bars, restaurants, pubs, eateries, hospitals, receptions and other spaces.

Our wide range of Perspex® office screens includes many standard sizes, however, we can manufacture personalised sizes depending on your needs. Different shapes, heights, widths can be manufactured. All you need to do is give us a brief on what your layout is and what you are trying to achieve and we can design a solution for you.

Living through the Coronavirus pandemic has meant we’ve all had to change the way we work, and of the new social distancing measures we’ve adopted, many will remain in place for a long time after the COVID vaccine is widely available. Perspex® office screens are a flexible and affordable way of introducing social distancing measures to work environments so that employees can continue with their day-to-day work in a safe environment even once COVID vaccines are available. In a direct response to UK Government and WHO guidelines, we developed a range of UK-manufactured Perspex® & glass social distancing Sneeze Screens and Guards to help create safer workplaces to maximise employee and customer protection while promoting happier and more productive work environments.

All of our social distancing screens are manufactured in the UK and are made using high-quality materials and will provide continued functionality throughout the current pandemic and post COVID-19.

We sell a wide variety of Perspex screens for offices, retail, hospitality, medical facilities, beauty salons, schools and many more locations where social distancing is required. Our Perspex office screen collections are broken down into two main categories:

Desk Dividers

In offices where desk banks have previously allowed social, open workspaces, now these must adapt to the new social distancing measures. Installing a set of desk-dividing panels maintains that open, sociable feel while helping to prevent the spread of Coronavirus by blocking respiratory droplets between employees. Made from transparent Perspex® with anodised aluminium frames, these partitions are easy to keep clean and sanitised; simply wipe regularly with a bleach solution or use an antibacterial wipe.

Free Standing Partitions

Open-plan offices have been very much in vogue in recent years, but such work environments are now requiring modifications thanks to the new social distancing measures put forward by the UK Government and Public Health England. Segmenting your open-plan office into smaller spaces for individuals or small teams reduces the likelihood of the virus being easily transmitted from person to person. Transparent Perspex screens still give the light, airy feel of an open-plan office while allowing you to create smaller office environments or meeting rooms.

The UK Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and Public Health England advises that in all environments, but particularly indoors, people are kept at least 1-2m apart. Where this is not possible, they recommend using screens and partitions to keep people safely socially distanced and help prevent the transmission of virus droplets from person to person.

Perspex acrylic and glass screens are now mandated as part of social distancing measures across the UK and the rest of the world in order to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

Perspex® acrylic is a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) acrylic which is made from methyl methacrylate monomer (MMA) and trademarked by Lucite International, now Perspex International Ltd. Produced directly from methyl methacrylate monomer, a panel of Perspex® is cast between two sheets of high-quality glass, before being polymerised in specially designed kilns and water baths in a manufacturing process first discovered by scientists in 1934, the year in which the name Perspex® was trademarked.

Perspex® is easy to keep clean and sanitised, which makes is an excellent choice for social distancing screens. Simply wipe your panels down regularly to maintain a healthy and hygienic work environment.

Transparent Perspex® offers better optical clarity than glass, meaning that a clear Perspex® screen will maintain proper social distancing within your workplace but still allow light to pass through for an airy and pleasant work environment. It also makes communication between colleagues, or between staff and customers, easy and effective.

In order for businesses and offices to re-open you will need to have social distancing measures in place. Safe distance between desks and office equipment can be achieved with our range of social distancing screens. Perspex® desk dividers and freestanding office partitions are the most popular solutions and are available in a number of styles, sizes and designs to suit all budgets.

Coronavirus is transferred from person-to-person through tiny droplets expelled from the nose or mouth when someone sneezes, coughs or even breathes. These droplets can be transferred directly from one person to another if someone is standing very close, or they can land on surfaces that are then touched by someone else, and the virus is transmitted that way.

Social distancing screens are useful both in public environments and customer-facing businesses as well as offices and other workspaces. A smooth, Perspex®, acrylic or glass panel acts as a barrier to Coronavirus droplets in the air, allowing two people to interact more safely with a social distancing partition between them.

It’s important to remember that wiping down these panels with sanitiser or bleach products regularly is essential to provide maximum protection against germs and viruses.

Office Dividers have long been seen as an economical way to partition an office or area into separate sections. Screens were chosen based on function, aesthetics, colour and budget; but COVID-19 has made us aware of the need for screens that are easy to keep clean and sanitised to help prevent the spread of any illness within the workplace. The choice of surface materials is important; Perspex®, glass or acrylic pods and transparent office screens are suitable as they can be wiped clean but they also allow light in, so not as claustrophobic as fabric-covered cubicles or booths. Our partitions and screens are manufactured with aluminium or PVC edgings making them non-porous and easier to maintain.

Combining these newer, modern partitioning alternatives with a sensible office layout plan that ensures social distancing may help your business or organisation better control the virus and bacteria and facilitate a safer and more productive workplace.

To remove smudges or smears, wipe down your Perspex® screen with warm, soapy water using a microfibre cloth.

Avoid using ammonia-based products as these can damage the surface of the acrylic, eventually causing cloudiness. We also recommend NOT using paper towels or kitchen towel to wipe down your Perspex panel as they don’t do a very good job of removing any scratches and may even cause damage. Stick to soft microfibre cloths wherever possible. Did you know that the composition of microfibre cloths make them more effective in wiping away harmful bacteria and viruses?

To sanitise your Perspex® screen, you can use a standard antibacterial wipe or diluted bleach solution, and then polish the surface with a microfibre cloth.

Our Perspex Screens and office screens are manufactured in the UK and are supplied with either a 1, 2 or 5 year warranty against manufacturing defects. We always strive to offer a 100% customer satisfaction warranty so if you are not happy with the product you have received, we will work to resolve the problem for you.
