7 Reasons Why Your Business Should Invest in Office Screens

This blog will explain the many reasons you need to introduce partitioning into your workspace and why office partitions should be top of the investment list for your business.

Adjustable Meeting Spaces

Many modern office spaces are let without specialised meeting rooms, break rooms or private offices, but it’s not as complicated as you might think to create these spaces using office screens. There are a number of different options available, from semi-open office pods constructed from a number of curved screens, to fully-enclosed glass office pods.

Partitions that serve dual purposes are a great way to get the most value from your investment. For example, our s-shaped room partition wall has two built-in meeting spaces, which not only creates new areas for meetings, breaks or private working, but also can be used to divide up a large open plan space.

Soundproofing

Offices full of people can be very noisy, distracting places. Ensuring your employees have peaceful, productive environments in which to work is important, but can be difficult to achieve, particularly in large, open-plan spaces. Specific industries, such as call centres or communications hubs, require good soundproofing measures that allow employees to work and take calls without disturbing their team members too much.

We stock a wide range of acoustic options for creating a productive office; from desk divider panels to mobile floor-standing partitions. Our acoustic office screens are manufactured with a layer of pinboard material which is covered with foam-backed fabric for excellent soundproofing. They can also be used as pinboards or noticeboards.

Privacy

Especially in busy, high-stress industries, having quiet and calm office spaces where employees can work in relative privacy can be a huge factor when it comes to productivity. Having spaces for social relaxation is important, too, but keeping these areas (eg. kitchens, canteens and break rooms) separate can make for a better workflow for your staff.

Installing a variety of privacy screens or mobile office dividers allows your employees to customise their workspace. Mobile office screens on wheels can be moved around the office as required, offering additional privacy for staff members when they need it.

Dividing Open Plan Offices

It can be difficult when renting office space to create the ideal set-up for your business, particularly when faced with a large, open-plan environment. Investing in a variety of office screens and partitions can help you segment up the office into usable spaces for your workforce. Temporary cubicles, desk banks, meeting spaces, private offices, break rooms - all of these can be created without permanent renovations by placing dividers and partitions.

Folding screens can be linked together in an in-line or concertina, or a zig-zag configuration to help you section off individual areas of the office for different teams or purposes. Transparent Perspex®, acrylic or glass divider options, on the other hand, will divide up space while allowing light to transfer through the office for a bright and airy feel.

Branding/Display

Office screens and partitions can also be used to make a statement when outsiders visit your business. A number of our office dividers can be printed with your company’s branding - or a design of your choice - making them excellent advertisements for your business, as well as practical office screens. Plus, you can mix and match printed office screens with our range of fabric dividers in bright, bold colours to match your design scheme.

Combat Hygiene & Spread of Illness

Installing screens, partitions and dividers between desks or working environments can help reduce the spread of illness throughout the office. Since the Coronavirus pandemic, Perspex screens have become an essential part of office life, however, they are helpful in the combat against the common cold and flu.

It’s important to choose the right office partition for social distancing. Materials that can be easily wiped down and sanitised regularly are excellent, as cleaning the screens prevents virus particles (also known as ‘fomites’) from building up on the surfaces, where they can infect others.

Perspex®, acrylic and glass are the best materials to choose for office social distancing screens as each of these can be wiped down regularly with a diluted bleach solution or an antibacterial wipe to maintain a safe and clean environment.
