Clamp Specification For Fabric Desk Screens

Step 1

Measure the length of the desk where you wish to mount your desk screen. Typical desk sizes are 800, 1200, 1400, 1600 or 1800mm.

Clamp Location

On desk screens that are 800mm wide or less, the clamp holes are drilled 75mm in from each end.

On desk screens that are more than 800mm wide, the clamp holes are drilled 228mm in from each end.

Step 2

Measure the thickness of your desk (A); this is the measurement of the desktop itself.

Step 3

Using the information in Step 1, locate the points on your desktop where the clamps will sit. The clamps require a clearance under the desktop of 30mm wide and 28mm deep. If the clamps have no obstruction and fit into the ‘clearance’ zone (C), then no further measurements are required.

Step 4

If the frame/support of your desktop obstructs the clamp position, then you will need a clamp larger than the standard 17-33mm thick. Measure the thickness of the desktop and frame/support (B.1&2) and let us know that you will need an alternative clamp. Some bespoke clamps can be swapped out with no additional cost, but some will incur an additional cost.

Fixing:

The standard clamp we supply with our fabric desk screens is a ‘C’ shaped clamp and adjusts to fit desks that are 17-33mm thick. For these screens, we pre-drill the holes in the desk screen for the clamps at a certain distance from each end. The desk clamps slot onto the desktop and are tightened in place. Their location is not adjustable.
